![]() ![]() ![]() I've breezed through the previous mashups of survive-kill-repeat, but this battle's not going quite so smoothly. It's been an enjoyable, if predictable ride so far the story's a schlocky, quintessentially 40k epic of stoicism, but all pretty steady-as-she-goes as far as mission design. Twelve missions deep into Dawn of War 3's campaign, I'm getting a little tense. Watch out for our final thoughts after release, once we've had a chance to see how the online holds up in the wilds. Would you feel such dynamics are fair? You may argue that the buff needs to be just right.Editor's note: this is an early verdict on Dawn of War 3 based on a full campaign playthrough and a couple of hours in multiplayer. What if you instead chose something else and your MGs perform considerably worse now? Then you'd need a bulleting significantly buffing your MG suppression to counteract that. Let's say you buff "received suppression reduction" for either Volks or Shocks to a really noticable level. That means this choice cannot be relevant on a game altering level or you base significant benefits on an unpredictable variable. How often will this have to be said? Bulletins are something you choose before a match. Anyways it was always intended as a very slight buff to units you use the most and therefore have grinded out some achievements with. An achievement showcase? A ruse to trick your oppoenent into a commander choice? idk.Īnd I wouldn't call -10% vet on expensive units or stacking different buffs on one unit useless. But what's the point of bulletins then? The bonus makes no difference in game. So what's the difference now? That people noticed you can exploit certain bulletin effects when stacked and want something similar for non-stacked bulletins now? No thank you. ![]() Back then nobody cared enough to get things changed either.
